In this era of rapid technological advancement, security cameras have become an indispensable guardian in our lives. Whether it’s to protect the peace of our homes, prevent theft in shops, or monitor changes in the outdoor environment, a suitable security camera can provide us with a great sense of security. You can be away from home and still check on your house anytime through your mobile phone; shop owners can receive timely alerts on their after closing time if an intruder breaks in; and outdoor workers can remotely monitor construction sites, farms, and other locations without worrying about the inconvenience of bad weather or distance. These seemingly miraculous functions are all made possible with the help of security cameras.
With the increasing popularity and diverse applications of security cameras, more battery-powered security cameras are now available on the market to meet people’s needs.
1. Portable Surveillance Camera
These cameras are primarily used in small, enclosed spaces where power sources are difficult to access. They are characterized by their compact size and ease of installation. They remain in standby mode most of the time, only activating when motion is detected, reducing power consumption and extending battery life. They are often used for temporary, short-term surveillance needs, such as in a small, independent warehouses for temporary storage of goods. To prevent theft, a battery-powered security camera can be installed. It remains in standby mode until someone enters the area, at which point it immediately activates recording and can send an alert to the mobile phone of user.

The built-in chip will increase the input voltage to 5V
2.Solar-Powered Security Cameras
These security cameras are primarily used outdoors, such as for forest fire prevention, river monitoring, farm surveillance, and traffic monitoring. In areas with sufficient sunlight, they can be self-sufficient in terms of power, making them completely environmentally friendly. The camera is mounted on a tall pole, with a solar panel at the top and a battery box below the panel. The battery is connected to the camera, providing continuous power.
Outdoor cameras require a wider field of view and clearer images, demanding higher performance than indoor cameras, and therefore consume more power. Outdoor cameras generally use 12V lithium batteries with a capacity of around 10-20Ah, the battery pack can be customized according to actual needs.

3. Hybrid Power Supply Cameras
These cameras can be directly connected to the mains power supply or powered independently by batteries. They typically use mains power, but when there is a power outage or the power is intentionally cut off, the lithium battery acts as a backup power source to ensure continuous recording. They are mainly used in locations requiring strict security, such as banks, jewelry stores, or shopping malls.
